Born in 1961, Vera McGrath is an artist, a researcher and a teacher, working with children with autism, Down’s Syndrome, Dyslexia and other learning challenges. Vera holds a B.Ed from the National University of Ireland and a MAVA from National College of Art & Design. Vera works most notably in pastels and charcoal, with her focus on the human figure. She has worked with various dance companies in Ireland and beyond over the years, including Ballet Ireland, Cork City Ballet and the Russian State Ballet. Vera’s ability to draw, and her total competence in this regard, is the essential ingredient.
