Michael Hanrahan b.1951

Born in 1951, Michael Hanrahan is an Artist through and through, full of wonder and delight and passion for his chosen path in life. His background in the financial world has stood him in good stead and helped shape his artistic success. Michael’s big breakthrough came in 2011 when he was officially accredited to be the official artist for Queen Elizabeth’s historic Royal Visit to Ireland and 3 of his paintings are now in the Royal Collection in Buckingham Palace. U.S. Presidents JFK and Barack Obama have also featured in Hanrahan’s work and, as a consequence, his paintings are now included in the collections of The White House, Aras an Uachtarain and the Kennedy Library in Boston. In recent years, building on his success, Michael was appointed Art Lecturer to the magnificent cruise ships of the Cunard Line, which has facilitated his painting all over the world. Michael Hanrahan is undoubtedly a modern day success story in the world of Contemporary Irish Art.
