Born in 1943, into an artistic family, Robert Egginton is the nephew of Frank Egginton (1908–1990) and the grandson of Wycliffe Egginton, R.I. (1875-1951). Robert’s artistic lineage has stood him well and he has developed his own distinctive style. A superb watercolourist, strong on composition and technique, his depiction of the Irish landscape is vivid and robust, bridging the traditional and the contemporary.
