Born in Co Carlow, Maggie Deering is a self-taught artist, living and working from her 18th century home. With a background in marketing, the restoration of her country house has produced her hugely popular Wisteriatreehouse account on Instagram, with tens of thousands of followers and all the while, Maggie’s creative and artistic side has come to the fore, establishing her career as an artist, hence the ever-popular wisteriatreehouse.art, which showcases her paintings.
Working predominantly in oils, Maggie Deering is drawn to nature and beauty, depicting the world which surrounds her . . . her animals, her gardens, her memories. Having studied ballet as a child, she has retained a fascination with the movement of the ballerina, as seen in her many ballet studies.
