Born in 1971, David Ffrench Le Roy is a self taught artist who began painting at the age of twenty four. In 1996 he held his first exhibition at the Wexford Opera Festival, which consisted of mainly contemporary work. Then in 1997, his work changed to a more traditional style of painting and he has become very well known for his classical still-life work
