One of Ireland’s best loved TV presenters, Thelma Mansfield is recognised throughout the country from her days in RTÉ. Her interest in art goes back to her childhood, when her extraordinary talent was easily recognised. Thelma has always loved the seashore and has a long and happy relationship with Connemara. She left RTÉ in the late nineties, to pursue a career in painting and with a distinctive style and bold use of colour, she has rapidly made her name as an artist. Her artistic ability and achievements were highlighted on RTÉ’s “Nationwide” programme. Her love of the coastline and seashore continues to be a constant inspiration and she delights in capturing the ever changing light and mood and colour.

Enter your Maximum Bid, i.e. the highest amount youre willing to bid for a particular lot in the auction. The system will automatically raise your bid, only as much as is needed, for you to remain the highest bidder and only up to your chosen Maximum Bid, which does not include the buyers commission (VAT Inclusive) payable on all lots.

Please note that all Maximum Bids are confidential and are not disclosed. The system will endeavour to purchase your lot at the lowest hammer price, as is permitted by other bids or reserves, if any, and subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale, and the auctioneer disclaims responsibility for any failure, for whatever reason, in this regard.

The system will advance your bid automatically, on your behalf, only when required, up to the maximum you have chosen. This means that you may win an item for less than your maximum bid, but it also means that you can be outbid if someone else enters a higher Maximum Bid. If you are outbid for a lot, an email will be sent to you to notify you and to invite you to increase your Maximum Bid. Please note, if a bid is received in the final minute of a timed auction, the clock resets back to sixty seconds, in order to give other bidders an opportunity to respond.
